All about the "THE RING"!

Posted on: July 2, 2009 2:06 am
I just finished watching the LA Lakers 2009 parade ceremonies on Fox West .As a LA Laker fan since 1970 I was moved and enjoyed this more then any one of the championships the Lakers have won in the last 39 years. In those 39 years Ive been able to witness 10 championships. From the years of Wilt Chamberland and Jerry West in 1971-72 to Kereem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson in the 80's to Shaq and Kobe and Derek Fisher in 2000-01-02.Which brings me to this year 2009 one of the  most satisfying and proud moments as a Laker's fan.To come back from last years disappointment against the Boston Celtics and not only get back butt win is most satisfying feeling as fan .I either watched or listened to every game this year as I also did in as kidd in S. Calif in 1971-72 hearing Chick Hearn on AM radio. I did not miss a game . Thats what ranks this one on the top with that of 1971-72 championship. Im so proud of this franchise and Mitch Kupchak and Phil Jackson for putting this team together and teaching them to win together.

There motto this year "THE RING" thats what its all about .You can have your empty stats and your King Lebron James .Its all about "THE RING" and will always be about the "THE RING"! From Kobe Bryant,Pau Gasol and Odom to the end of the bench Sue Yun and Dbenga and Morrison that had little playing time they have something not many players even great players will ever get a NBA Championship ring.

Kobe Bryant your the best the NBA has and the face of the NBA. Like him or hate him hes the best and a winner and when his career is over will he will go down as one of the greatest NBA players of all-time period!

This is a very young team and I see no reason why if the core of this team stays intact and Trevor Ariza and Lamar Odom are resigned  they can repeat . Congrads LA Lakers fans and congrads to the team .For all of you Lakers haters and Kobe haters I dont see you or can I hear you your in my rear view mirror!
